Our homeschool is year-round. It's funny, because some people get a strange look on their face...almost like what is said has an odor to it. It's like they are saying to themselves..."WHAT"! That's just crazy! I know some homeschoolers that follow certain time, and days of the week program, but my question is simply....why?
The thing I had to realize the most on this homeschool journey was...that ALL LEARNING COUNTS!! For instance, over the years, I have enrolled my kiddos into Art Camp, Dance Camp, Gymnastics Camp, Music Lessons, and Coding Camp. Sundays are golf lessons and then breakfast with dad. Yes, it all counts towards homeschooling!
As a result of year-round homeschooling, my son completed ALL H.S Math...including Algebra 2 and Statistics...at age 13!! When the kids realized that they could actually finish their schooling sooner as an end result....there was no need to say anything more. Year round homeschool for the win!
